IRONMAN Triathlon
Problem: They had a new broadcast partner, Outside TV, and this was the first live stream on their network. We had to ideate how to best position IRONMAN’s brand to a new audience, captivate their attention, and energize their appetite to watch the 8-hour live stream.
Solution: We curated from archives, produced the show open for the races, and worked with sound mixers, graphic designers, and many stakeholders to create action-packed, exciting promotional material.
Mia Hamm - Rio Olympics
Problem: Donny saw that the 2016 Rio Olympics was approaching within the NBCU family while working with GOLF Channel and thought to himself, “What can I do to help contribute to the games with promotional content on a sister network?”
Solution: Donny pitched The Morning Drive show on the GOLF Channel to cover a former Hall of Fame Olympic Gold Medalist, Mia Hamm, and tell her story of Olympic stardom and how it connected to a golf audience. Through our discussions with Mia, we were able to highlight what it takes to be a GOAT, her experience in the Olympics, and how she and her team give back to the public.
Instead of putting out a content piece about Mia playing soccer, as one would expect, we found a hidden talent most people did not know about: golf. By leveraging this untold story about Mia Hamm's connection with golf, we were able to get her featured on the Morning Drive segment on the GOLF Channel. This performed extremely well on the show and was picked up for NBC’s The Champion Within show.
GOLFPASS
Problem: We were tasked with telling the story in a short sizzle of the past year’s content on the new streaming OTT app for stakeholders and executives for the initial launch meeting, which included 5-time Major Champion, Rory McIlroy.
Solution: We created a sizzle reel that showcased what the press had to say about GOLFPASS and highlighted the programs that will live in the digital content library. Our successful momentum in energizing the stakeholders brought a sigh of relief for the 1-year launch and compelling optimism about what could come in the future.
